Fresh seafood in the Midwest will cost you, so understand this is not a cheep place. That said, it is not overpriced. Market prices rule, but so worth it.
After seeing a show in Evanston, we decided to eat before our 75 mile drive home. We saw this place on our way in, so decided to try it. I was glad they had sweet tea, but I think it was Lipton Brisk, not fresh brewed, so not great, but o.k. Since it was our first time there, the server explained how it worked. We choose what we want (Lobster, a few different types of Crabs, Shrimp and Crawfish). There was a special that night, buy 2 pounds of shrimp, get the third free.
We got three pounds,2 lemon pepper that my wife loved. She also had a lobster tail. I decided on Cajun spices with medium heat. I also added Corn on the cob, potatoes and sausage. Mine was cooked in the same bag, giving great flavors to everything. The sausage and corn were good, but the potatoes were whole,it should have been quartered.
The shrimp was peel and eat, and oh so good.I ordered the hush puppies, which lacked flavor and were a little doughy, but not bad. It is a small place, but you can get take-away.
Overall,We enjoyed it and will go back when we are back in the area. I do recommend eating here, you will like it.
This place never fails. Every time I come here, the service gets better than the last. The owner/manager is awesome! Very polite and professional. He even gave my group oysters on the house! I just realized that this place is now BYOB! The food is delicious and full of flavor. Overall, this place shows what excellent customer service is about, hands down!
First time and we loved it, no plates, no utensils refreshing setting, made an absolute mess and had fun doing it. Crawfish trifecta, snow crab legs in garlic butter sauce, shrimp baskets, catfish basket, hush puppies, corn fritters, gumbo w/rice and the best lemonade ever. All of it was delicious, Great dinner. Highly recommend.
